Can I Make Payments?

Insurance
You would be amazed at how many people are stunned and shocked to find out they can‘t make payments to bury a loved one! An even bigger shock is the cost they have to come with; in cash! The average funeral depending on what part of the country you live in can run between $8,000 to $12,000; ALL CASH!

After the person comes out of sticker shock, the next question is why must I pay in cash? Simple, once you bury someone there is no collateral to collect or no other way to make the client pay. If you don’t make your car payment what happens? It get’s repossessed. What happens if you don’t make your mortgage payment? The bank will foreclose and kick you out of the house!

If a Funeral Home of Mortuary buried the dearly departed on credit and you couldn’t or wouldn’t pay they couldn’t dig up grandma! Get the picture? That’s why it’s called making final arrangements. The Funeral Home or Mortuary would have no recourse if the family member decided to quit paying.

Your final resting place is considered a sacred place. Hallowed ground if you will. That’s how Arlington National Cemetery got started. President Lincoln ordered Union war dead to be buried on General Robert E. Lee’s estate. This was of course Lincoln’s way of showing his displeasure for Lee’s decision to support the Confederacy in its secession.

Obviously, no one was going to dig up Union dead and relocate them because it was viewed as sacred or hallowed ground! So now you get the picture why you should prearrange your funeral and burial. It’s so much cheaper not to mention so much less hassle for those you leave behind! Think about it!
